RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A cold front will pass through the area tonight and chase this rather hot weather away from us. Early this evening there is about a 2 hour window in which we might see quick passing shower more through. Overnight it will be partly cloudy and in the lower to middle 70s.
Friday will be partly cloudy and with winds out of the north, highs will only make it back into the upper 80s to around 90. Friday night, that cold front is going to come back to the north as a warm front. That means mostly cloudy skies are on tap for the area with a slight risk of a shower. Lows will be in the lower 70s.
Looking at Saturday it will be partly sunny with scattered showers expected in the area as a little storm rolls along the front, possibly stalling out right over us. This will be a cooler day with highs in the middle 70s.
Sunday looks to be the better half of the weekend right now as highs warm into the upper 80s.
We are headed back into the 90s early next week and along with that will come the risk of showers and thunderstorms.
The greatest risk of storms looks to be on Tuesday and Wednesday with another front approaching and weakening in the area.
