Teens arrested after setting car on fire in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Three juvenile suspects have been arrested in relation to an incident in which a car was burned in the 2900 block of Speaks Drive on Sunday.

Investigators determined that the 1996 Honda Civic had been set on fire intentionally.

Authorities later revealed that unknown suspects had tried to burn a second vehicle. Two other vehicles were found vandalized, and items were taken from a garage.

A 13-year-old, 14-year-old, and 15-year-old were arrested on Tuesday in relation to the incident.

The 14-year-old and 15-year-old were charged with felony arson, misdemeanor arson, burglary with intent to commit larceny, three counts of petit larceny, and three counts of vandalism.

The 13-year-old was charged with three counts of petit larceny and three counts of vandalism.

The juvenile suspects have been released to the custody of their parents.
