TROUTVILLE, Va. (WSLS) – Monday was the birthday of a lifetime for one Virginia boy.
Camden Eubanks turned 10-years-old on Monday and all he wanted for his birthday was a giant water balloon fight. And that’s exactly what he got when more than 300 people showed to celebrate.
Camden’s family put an invitation on Facebook and much to their surprise, the post went viral and resulted in a birthday bash blow-out!
“It made me feel terrific! Camden had a smile on his face the whole time,” Traci Eubanks, Camden’s mom, told 8News sister station WSLS. “He was throwing balloons at everybody. He loved it!”
Camden has apraxia, a disorder that makes it difficult for him to talk to people, meaning Monday’s turn-out really meant a lot.
One father drove from northern Virginia with his two sons to celebrate Camden’s birthday.
“My oldest son Leon is a special needs child also and I know how difficult it is for him to make friends,” explained Ed Urbaniak.
The Troutville Fire Department was also on hand with two trucks to hose the kids down.
