RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Our overall weather pattern remains stuck on pause across the region this evening as a stalled out front continues to bring round after round of unsettled weather into the area.
We are watching a line of showers and storms developing to our south that are lifting northwards and will expand in coverage over the next few hours. We can expect heavy downpours, frequent lighting and some gusty winds with some of these cells.
After sunset tonight things will begin to quiet down but the risk for isolated showers remains through around midnight.
Monday will bring more of the same, morning clouds and isolated fog with some breaks of sunshine by the lunch hour ahead of more showers and storms for the afternoon and evening. Good news though! By Monday night the front begins lifting north; this will bring an end to the string of unsettled weather days and bring our area into the summertime heat and humidity.
Highs by midweek will make it back into the low to even mid 90s as well as a noticeable increase in humidity.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend!
