2 men charged in shooting death of Dinwiddie man to appear in court Wednesday

DINWIDDIE, Va. (WRIC) — Two men charged with shooting a Dinwiddie man to death are expected in court Wednesday morning.

Devin Thomas and Joseph Phillips are expected to appear in court for a pre-motions trial hearing. They’re both charged with first-degree murder, felony use of a firearm, conspiracy to commit murder and disposing of a body on private property.

Jeremiah Jones was found dead near Poplar Grove Cemetery in January. He was reported missing on New Year’s Eve.

The case is set to begin at 9 a.m.
