RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – A pizza delivery driver is recovering from his injuries after being shot point-blank in his car. Ryan Hale was nearing the end of his shift in the early morning hours on June 8 when police said two men approached his car in the 1700 block of Jacquelin Street. The men opened fire and took his money.
The local part-time musician was hit in the neck. Hale was able to drive himself to the emergency room to get help. His fiancée, Grace Kerner, said she is optimistic that Hale will make a full recovery.
“I’m very hopeful that he’ll be back to drumming and singing and find a new line of employment very soon,” said Kerner.
As of June 8, police had not made any arrests in the shooting, but said they are actively chasing down leads. Anyone wishing to donate to Ryan’s fundraiser can follow this link to his GoFundMe campaign.
