Richmond Police seek person of interest in theft of cargo trailer

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Detectives need your help to find a person of interest in the recent theft of a cargo trailer.

Richmond Police tell 8News that the incident occurred around 8 a.m. on Thursday in an alley in the 2300 block of West Main Street.

Police say an employee noticed a black cargo trailer that had been secured at the back of the business was missing. Officials say surveillance video shows a black male walk up to the trailer, leave the camera frame briefly to manipulate the trailer, then grab the tongue of the trailer and walk away.

The person of interest is described as a black male wearing a black hoodie-style jacket, jeans and white tennis shoes.
