MANASSAS, Va. (AP) – Officials say 19 people have been arrested in a drug sting in Prince William County.
Authorities say the arrests are the result of a four-month undercover investigation focused on the sale of drugs to teenage users.
The sting, dubbed “Operation Growing Pains,” culminated in police executing 26 search warrants on Friday and seizing an array of pills, marijuana, cash and weapons.
Police say those arrested were selling drugs to teenagers. Several of them are teenagers themselves, with some as young as 16
The sting began after two area high school students were killed in drug-related incidents.
