RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Alonzo Nelson Ododa is leaving the University of Richmond to finish his college basketball career at the University of Pittsburgh.
The former Spider announced that he transferring this weekend on Twitter.
He will become eligible to play for the Panthers immediately upon transferring.
As a junior last season, Nelson-Ododa averaged 6.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-9 rim protector also posted a team-high 1.7 blocks per game.
He leaves UR as No. 2 on the school’s all-time leader in blocks with 185.
