Richmond Police arrest two in Redd Street homicide

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — In a press conference Tuesday afternoon which included Richmond Mayor Dwight Jones, police Chief Alfred Durham announced that they arrested two men and charged them both with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with a homicide that occurred last Thursday in Mosby Court.

Milvon Witcher, 29, of Coalter Street, was picked up Monday by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. Domonique Walker, 22, also of Coalter Street, was arrested last Friday by Richmond Police detectives.

Richmond Police officers were patrolling the area a little after 10 PM, Thursday, May 7th when they heard gunfire nearby. At the same time, multiple calls were placed by residents to 911, reporting gunfire.

Officers quickly found Ra’Keem Adkins, 22, of Mosby Street lying on the sidewalk of the 1900 block of Redd Street with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other males had been shot during the same incident. They were admitted to an area hospital for treatment.
