RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A weather system is approaching Central Virginia today and out ahead of it we have a few stray showers.
Some of these will pass through Metro Richmond during our early morning commute and then we will see partly sunny skies. It will be a hot and humid day with highs in the lower 90s.
The main cold front will pass through later this afternoon and evening. This will give us the chance of a few thunderstorms, but most of these will be found south of Petersburg and into the Tidewater. Our skies will clear out tonight and it will be cooler with lows in the upper 50s to near 60.
Wednesday will be sunny and very pleasant with highs in the upper 70s.
Thursday will be a cooler day with highs in the lower 70s under sunny skies.
Mostly sunny skies will be around on Friday with highs near 80.
Another weather system will approach the region for Saturday and Sunday, giving us a mix of sun and clouds with a chance of scattered showers and thundershowers.
