Richmond Police say fatal shooting of 16-year-old was justified

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Police have determined that the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old in Creighton Court last month was justified.

The shooting occurred in 2100 block of Creighton Road on March 27. Arriving units found Alex Jackson’s body lying on the ground outside of a residence.

Police determined through their month-long investigation that the fatal shot was fired in self defense. The adult male who shot Jackson will not be charged.
