BALTIMORE, Md (WRIC) — Major League baseball is making history today.
The Baltimore Orioles are playing the Chicago White Sox Wednesday, however the game is closed to the pubic because of recent riots in the Charm City.
The starting time was moved up by five hours to 2:05 p.m. to beat the 10 o’clock curfew in Baltimore. Fans tuning in on television or online are for the first time watching teams compete before tens of thousands of empty seats(47,000 to be exact).
Fans are seen standing outside the gates of the diamond, cheering on the Orioles.
Over 200 people were arrested in Baltimore Monday, after violence broke out in the streets.
