Seasonably cool today & Wednesday; still watching rain later in the week

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Sunny skies will be over central Virginia today with high temperatures in the upper 60’s to near 70, along with a breeze out of the northwest at 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Our skies will be mainly clear tonight and it will be seasonable with low temps around 50.

Wednesday will start off sunny but a few clouds will increase during the day, giving us a transition to partly sunny skies and we will finally be back to near normal with highs in the lower 70’s.

Clouds will increase Wednesday night and rain is possible for Thursday as a weather system is off of the coast and another drops in from the Ohio Valley. We will be cooler on Thursday due to the clouds and showers, so look for highs to be in the middle 60’s.

That system may hang around for Friday giving us more rain during the day and keeping us cool with highs in the lower to middle 60’s. Finally, that system will move out later Friday night allowing for sunshine to return for the weekend.

Right now, Saturday and Sunday look to be sunny to mostly sunny with highs in the lower to middle 70’s.
