2 hospitalized, 3 suspects on the run after double shooting in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police are searching for three men this morning after an overnight shooting that sent two people to the hospital in Chesterfield.

Police responded to a a call for a shooting on Wednesday around 10:08 p.m. in the 4000 block of River Road. When officers arrived, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

One of the victims, a 42-year-old male, suffered life-threatening injuries. The other victim, a 51-year-old male, suffered a non-life threatening injury. Both were taken to area hospitals for treatment, according to police.

Police are searching for three black male suspects. Suspect 1 is described as six feet tall, 200 pounds, wearing a blue sweatshirt, black stocking cap and black bandanna across his face. Suspect 2 and 3 are both described as being five feet tall, with a medium build, wearing black pants, black sweatshirts with black stocking caps and black bandannas covering their faces. The suspects were last seen fleeing the area on foot.
