RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — An area of rain moving across North Carolina will keep us under cloudy skies throughout the day with the chance of a few hit or miss showers.
Keep an umbrella nearby, but it will not be in use for most of the day. High temperatures today will climb into the upper 60’s to near 70. Clouds will be around tonight and it will be mild with lows around 50.
Partly sunny skies will develop across central Virginia on Friday and it will be a very mild day with highs in the middle 70’s.
Sunny to mostly sunny skies will be with us for Saturday with highs in the upper 70’s to near 80.
Our next weather system will begin to move closer on Sunday, so we will some early sunshine fade behind clouds with highs in the middle 70’s. Right now, it looks like any rain will hold off until after 6 or 7 p.m. on Sunday, so most of your outdoor activities on Sunday should be okay.
Rain is likely Monday morning and it could be steady to heavy at times but taper off during the afternoon. Highs on Monday will only top out in the lower 70’s.
Partly sunny skies will return for Tuesday with highs in the middle 70’s.
More sunshine is expected for Wednesday with highs around 70.
