HANOVER, Md. (AP) — Police in Anne Arundel County are searching for a Hanover man they say killed his wife at the Dunkin’ Donuts where they worked.
Patrons notified police Sunday night after discovering no workers at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Arundel Mills Boulevard in Hanover.
Police say an officer checked the business and found a severely injured woman in the kitchen area. Police say the woman, 21-year-old Palak Bhadreskumar Patel of Hanover, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the investigation revealed that Patel’s husband, 24-year-old Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel, struck her multiple times with an object causing her death and then fled. They say Patel has been charged with first- and second-degree murder, assault and a weapons offense.
Anyone with information as to Patel’s whereabouts are asked to come forward by calling Homicide Detective Kelly Harding 410-222-4743. If people with information wish to remain anonymous they can also contact the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line 410-222-4700 or Metro Crime Stoppers.
