Bobby Brown made his first public appearance since his daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was hospitalized in January.

After performing his song “On Our Own” at Los Angeles’ Soul Food Festival, Bobby took the time to thank the audience for their support.

“I wanna thank all of y’all for coming out tonight, for supporting me and my family,” he said. “Rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times. I don’t know what the h— I’m going through right now, but I’m giving it to God.”

Bobbi Kristina, 22, has been hospitalized since January 31 when her partner, Nick Gordon, and a friend found her unresponsive inside her home in Roswell, Georgia. She was moved from Emory University Hospital in Atlanta to a rehabilitation facility, a source told ABC News in March. The source neither provided an update on the daughter of Whitney Houston’s condition, nor did they say where was moved.

Bobbi Kristina is the fifth child of Bobby Brown, and the only child of Whitney Houston, who died on Feb. 11, 2012.
