A Facebook page’s controversial post about moms who have had cesarean sections has sparked outrage online. While some speculate on whether the post is satire, the rage it has prompted online is very real.

The post, written by a page called ‘Disciples of the New Dawn,’ says to “please show respect to superior women who actually had what it took to get the job done.”

The page appears to be run by a religious group out of Kentucky. “The Disciples of the New Dawn are led by Father Patrick Embry,” their Facebook page reads.

Thousands have commented on the post. One woman shared it and said, “If I had followed this philosophy my child and I would have died.”

The post has been shared more than 50,000 times and is littered with comments both criticizing and commending the group.

Some online speculate that the organization is satire.

About one in four women have their babies via c-section in the U.S. Most C-sections are done when unexpected problems happen during delivery including health problems or signs of distress.
