RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Rain showers are along and east of Interstate 95 this morning and they could linger until around noon.
Most of the region will see mostly cloudy skies this afternoon and it will be warm with highs in the middle to upper 70’s. A cold front will approach the region tonight and bring us another risk of rain for all of Central Virginia after 8 p.m.
As that cold front crosses the region, a wave of rain will develop in North Carolina and push into the 8News viewing area during the early morning hours on Friday.
This rain will be steady for the morning commute on Friday and last until the early afternoon. The rain will depart by Friday afternoon with clouds slowly clearing. Temperatures on Friday will start off in the lower to middle 50’s in the morning but drop into the upper 40’s by the late afternoon and evening. Our skies will clear out Friday night and it will be turn cold with lows in the upper 20’s and lower 30’s.
For those that are participating, running or volunteering in the Monument Avenue 10K, you can expect sunshine Saturday morning but it will be cold temperatures near 32 degrees.
Saturday afternoon will feature mostly sunny skies with highs near 50.
More sunshine will be around for Sunday with highs in the middle 50’s.
Our temperatures will climb into the middle and upper 60’s on Monday with partly sunny skies.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be very nice with sunshine and highs in the middle to upper 60’s.
