Richmond’s 4th homicide victim of 2015 dies Monday morning

The City of Richmond’s fourth homicide victim of the year was found lying in a breezeway with a head wound early Sunday morning and died Monday morning. Police are now investigating the death.

Around 2:50 a.m. on March 15, officers were called to an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Coalter Street. They found the victim, 41-year-old Frizzell Belton, lying unconscious with a head injury in a breezeway of the building.

Belton passed away early Monday morning at VCU Medical Center. His death marks the fourth homicide of 2015.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the crime to contact Major Crimes Detective A. Demery at (804) 646-5999 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
