LOUISA, Va. (AP) – Some residents in Louisa County might have felt a little rattled on Sunday.
The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude-2.8 earthquake struck at 3:02 a.m. The epicenter was about 6 miles south of Louisa.
The agency’s website shows the earthquake was felt in Peebles, Ohio, 485 miles from the epicenter.
In 2011, Louisa County was struck by a magnitude-5.8 earthquake. Numerous minor quakes have occurred since then.
