One in critical condition after shooting at Richmond’s Powhatan Park

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Two people were injured in an apparent double shooting that occurred in Richmond Friday evening.

Shortly after 9 p.m., Police responded to a call of random gunfire at the city’s Powhatan Playground off Fulton St.

When units arrived they were called to a nearby location on Goddin St. where the found one victim who was suffering non-life threatening injuries after being shot in the foot.

Soon after officers located a second victim in the 1000 block of Garber St. Police say that victim was transported to VCU Medical Center with potential life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing as police are unsure at this time if another person was involved in the shooting.
