RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Our skies have cleared out behind that rain maker yesterday, especially in Chesterfield County, where the rain came down much harder than expected.
Many areas picked up over a half inch of rain!
Now the good news, sunshine will be with us today and it will be breezy and pleasant with highs in the upper 50’s to near 60. We will start tonight off clear but a few clouds will move in by your Friday morning commute. Our overnight lows will drop back into the middle 30’s.
Friday will start off with some sunshine but clouds will increase during the day and showers are possible by the evening. High temperatures on Friday will climb into the lower and middle 50’s. Rain will move in Friday night and last into early Saturday morning.
Right now, our weather models are indicating another half inch to three quarters of an inch of rain between Friday night and midday Saturday.
During the late morning on Saturday we will transition to off and on showers and our temperatures will climb into the middle to upper 60’s.
Finally that weather system will move out Saturday night and allow for mostly sunny skies to return on Sunday with highs in the middle 60’s.
Monday will be a seasonable day with sunny skies and highs in the upper 50’s to near 60.
There will be a bit of a warm up on Tuesday, ahead of a weak cold front, which will bring us partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 60’s.
Wednesday and Thursday will be sunny with highs in the upper 50’s to near 60.
