Joe Morrissey Finishes Time Served For Misdemeanor Charge

HENRICO, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico Sheriff MIchael Wade tells 8 News that Delegate Joe Morrissey (I-Henrico) does not need to report back to jail, now that he has served his time sentenced.

Morrissey was charged with one misdemeanor count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and allowed to serve his time on nights and weekends through a work release agreement after entering an Alford plea in court late last year.

morrisseyMorrissey will be back in court on April 28th for a trial on charges in connection to an alleged fraudulent document submitted in connection to his teen scandal. Prosecutors say Morrissey entered evidence at a hearing for the teen sex case that was forged. Authorities executed a search warrant in January after Morrissey was charged with fabricating a document he presented as evidence.
