Rapper Afroman Punches Female Fan During Concert

A new video has surfaced showing Grammy-nominated rapper Afroman throwing a punch across a woman’s face that knocked her to the floor.

The video shows the “Because I Got High” rapper, whose real name is Joseph Edgar Foreman, performing at a concert in Biloxi, Mississippi on Tuesday.

Foreman, 40, was playing a guitar solo when a female fan jumps on stage and appears to start twerking on his leg. The rapper suddenly releases a ferocious haymaker that sends her crashing onto the floor, her head smashing on a drum riser.

“On 17 February 15, the Biloxi Police Department responded to a reported assault at the Kress Live Entertainment Venue involving Mr. Joseph Edgar Foreman who performs under the stage name Afroman,” the Biloxi Police Department arrest report read.

“Mr. Foreman was arrested for Assault as a result of a Citizen’s Affidavit, booked in, and released after paying a 330 Dollar Bond,” police said.

One of Afroman’s reps said that the musician was caught off guard by the woman and that the she was infringing on his stage space.

“It was uncharacteristic behavior that was initiated by outside uncontrolled forces,” the rep said in a statement. The rep blamed poor security at the venue, Kress Live.

Foreman continued playing a few more riffs on his guitar before security moved in. He was arrested outside the venue.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.

Afroman’s big hit came about 15 years ago with “Because I Got High.”
