Anyone with a social security card can have their identity stolen, including children.

New developments in the massive anthem security breach show that your kids could be the next to be targeted.

Tens of millions of children had their social security numbers, date of birth and healthcare ID numbers stolen in the recent breach, which exposes them to identity theft.

And because children’s information is linked to their parent’s data, it will make it much easier for cyber criminals to commit fraud against the parents as well.

A few of the warning signs you should be on the lookout include collection calls or notices for a debt incurred in your child’s name and/or notices from the IRS that your child’s name and/or Social Security number is already listed on another tax return.
