Red Cross Assisting Three After Henrico House Fire Overnight

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Three people were displaced from their home after a house fire overnight.

Henrico Fire tells 8News that crews got the call for a fire at a home in the 4900 block of Chapman Lane around 3:20 this morning.

Three adults were inside the home when the flames were sparked. They were able to make it out safely. One of those three adults did suffer some minor burn injuries, but was treated and released at the scene.


The blaze took firefighters about 30 minutes to get under control.

There was significant fire and smoke damage done to the residence. Three adults will be displaced for a short period of time due to the fire. The Red Cross is working to care for the three people inside the home.

Investigators are working to find a cause. They say there was no smoke detector inside the home.
