Chesterfield House Fire Displaces Two; Sends One To Hospital with Serious Injuries

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Fire crews responded Wednesday morning for a house fire.

Chesterfield Fire arrived at the home at 10:22 a.m. to 11605 Latane Wood Road to find smoke coming from an attached garage.

It took crews about 15 minutes to get the fire under control.

Two occupants were at home at the time of the fire. One of them was transported to VCU Medical Center with serious injuries.

Chesterfield County Fire Marshals determined the fire started in the attached garage. Crews are still investigating to find an exact cause.

The garage suffered moderate damage while the living area of the home only suffered minor smoke damage.
