Our skies will be clear tonight and it will be cold with lows in the lower to middle 20’s.
Wednesday will be a sunny day but it will be seasonably cold with highs in the lower to middle 40’s.
Another weak system will pass north of the region on Thursday and that will bring us partly sunny skies with highs in the middle 40’s.
Friday and Saturday will feature sunny to mostly sunny skies with highs in the middle 40’s on Friday but dropping back into the upper 30’s on Saturday.
Looking ahead to the Sunday and Monday, and I know many of you read all of the wild posts on social media, well the “potential” snow storm is now rain on all of the models for the majority of Central Virginia and the possibility of snow toward D.C. and northwestern Virginia.
At this point in time nothing is set in stone and I expect lots of changeability in the models as they try to figure out the core of the cold air coming in for the early part of the weekend. If that doesn’t come in, expect rain, if it does then snow has a better chance.
