A California man left a car wash in Pamona with more than clean rims and a shiny vehicle. He also added another passenger.
After returning home from Tuzos car wash, Sal Landeros heard a knocking sound coming from his trunk.
“He hit his trunk and he heard someone tap again back. He was like, ‘Okay, there’s someone definitely in my car,'” Landeros’ brother Eddie said.
Landeros and his son, Chris, carefully opened the truck unsure of what was inside.
“I said, ‘open it slowly.’ (Chris) saw the eyes and slammed it back again. I said, ‘Forget it. Just call the cops,'” Landeros said. “Real scary.”
Police soon arrived and surrounded the car with tasers and guns drawn. The ordeal was captured on video by Eddie Landeros and can be viewed above.
The man climbed out of the trunk and was handcuffed before being taken into custody.
But why was he in there in the first place?
“He was saying sorry a lot and he was running away from someone that needed his money, because he didn’t pay up or something,” Eddie Landeros said. “I guess he worked at the car wash too. He must have got in while they were washing it. He just closed the trunk on himself.”
Sal Landeros added, “Something you don’t expect. Even the police officers said, ‘This is a new one for us. We’ve never seen this one.”
