One Dead, One Suffers Serious Injuries in Louisa Co. Crash Thursday

LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police have identified the man killed in a single-vehicle crash in Louisa on Thursday.

Virginia State Police responded to that accident at 8:50 p.m. The crash occurred at Route 605 (Shannon Hill Road) one mile south of Route 33.

Police investigation revealed that a 1993 Honda civic was traveling south on Shannon Hill Road when it ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

The driver has been identified as 23-year-old Corey S. Foster. of Mineral, Va. Foster died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.

A 17-year-old passenger was transported by med-flight to University of Virginia’s hospital with serious injuries.

There have been no charges filed in the crash.
