RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Clouds this morning will give way to partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 40’s to near 50. It will be clear and cold tonight with lows in the lower to middle 20s.
Saturday will be a sunny day but somewhat chilly with highs only in the middle 40s.
Clouds will increase Sunday morning ahead of a system that will be developing along the east coast. This will bring us the chance of rain showers for the afternoon and evening. Highs on Sunday will top out in the upper 40s.
Partly sunny skies will return behind that system for Monday and Tuesday with highs from 50 to 55.
More showers are possible on Wednesday as a weak weather system passes through Central Virginia.
Thursday will be mostly cloudy with highs in the middle 40s.
A system will develop in the Gulf later Thursday afternoon and cross to South Carolina and North Carolina Friday morning. There are some major differences on how the models handle this system, some slide it out to sea bringing very little impact to Central Virginia, while others are a little more north bringing snow into our region. At this point in time, I will present the possibility of snow for next Friday afternoon into early Saturday.
There will be plenty of changes in the models between now and then so stay with 8News for the latest forecast.
