Randolph-Macon tops Hampden-Sydney 77-55 for 9th straight win

The Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets traveled to Farmville and punished their archrival Wednesday night in a 77-55 ODAC win. The victory is Randolph-Macon’s ninth straight. It leaves them at 5-0 in the ODAC and all alone in first. Additionally, the Yellow Jackets are ranked 16th in the country in Division III.

Freshman Guard Lamont Moore: “We come into every game confident because we’re well-prepared, and then they went on a little run in the first half and middle second half, but we kept it together and went on a run. We just came out, did what we had to do and got the win.

Freshman Forward Mike Silverthorn (hit five three-pointers in the first half): “Oh man, it’s been a great time, I mean I’m just a freshman so I’ve never experienced anything like this, and I’ve had a lot of fun doing it. The team is a great bunch of guys, and I love playing with them.”
