RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Three out of six puppies have been returned since being stolen at gunpoint in a Craigslist deal turned armed robbery.

Lt. Daniel Minton of the Richmond Police says that along with the third recovered puppy, police found four illegal guns, too.

Police say that the victim was trying to sell six puppies on Craigslist. The victim set up a meeting location with the prospective buyer, but, instead of selling the puppies, she was robbed of them at gunpoint.

Last week police charged Tion L. Oliver with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Police say when Oliver stole the puppies, he pulled a gun, fired one shot and made his getaway.

Three puppies are still missing. The puppies are approximately six weeks old and colored gray and brindled (gray or tawny with darker streaks or spots.)

Detectives ask anyone with any information about the location of Oliver or the puppies are asked to call First Precinct Detective Brian Taylor at (804) 646-0689 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
