Atlee’s Rick DeBerry Picks Oklahoma

HANOVER, Va. (WRIC) — This morning Rick DeBerry of Atlee High School made his decision to play college football in Norman, Oklahoma for the Oklahoma Sooners and Head Coach Bob Stoops.

DeBerry revealed his intent by revealing a portrait of himself wearing the OU hat, holding an OU football with the school’s stadium as the backdrop.

DeBerry said he made the decision last night, and it was difficult to leave his home state.

He chose Oklahoma over Alabama, UVA, Virginia Tech, and Michigan State.

DeBerry plays linebacker and was a captain for the 2014 Atlee Raiders Football Team.
