Scott’s Addition Pumpkin Festival

The Scott’s Addition Pumpkin Festival is all about family fun, according to its Facebook page. In addition to fall-themed crafts and activities, this year’s event will include the 1st annual private beer garden. It all wraps up with a Family Movie Night at the Bon Secours Redskins Training Camp beginning at 6 p.m.
The Central Virginia Celtic Festival and Highland Games at Richmond International Raceway
Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.–Sunday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
The Central Virginia Celtic Festival & Highland Games kick off this weekend at RIR! Your family will enjoy “traditional dance, Highland games competitions, gathering of clans and vendors,” says the event’s Facebook page…find out more, including ticket information, here.
Pumpkin Chunk-A-Thon at Ashwood Gardens & Nursery
Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pumpkin decorating, face painting, a moon bounce, tasty fall treats and a pumpkin chunking content: they’ll all be part of the Pumpkin Chunk-A-Thon at Ashwood Gardens and Nursery in Ashland! Even better? There’s free admission to the Chunk-A-Thon!’
The Valentine Grand Re-Opening
Saturday, 10 a.m.
The Valentine has been preserving and presenting Richmond’s unique history for more than 100 years. This Saturday, the Richmond landmark celebrates its grand re-opening after extensive renovations. For more information, check out its website.

What better way to celebrate the newly-renovated RACC than by adopting a new furry friend for free? This weekend, all pet adoption fees will be waived during the festivities and visitors can snack on food from The Grapevine Restaurant. The RACC website has more information here.
