Richmond Police Searching for Suspects in Attempted Home Invasion

Richmond Police detectives are searching for two males who assaulted a female teenager in relation to a possible home invasion.

According to police, the teen was walking in the 600 block of Effingham Drive when she was approached by two males. She was stuck on the head and the two men tried to push her into a nearby home.

Alert neighbors saw what was going on and the two men fled on foot. Police K-9 units were able to track the men’s scent to a nearby neighborhood, but the suspects hopped a fence and got into a vehicle, leaving the scene.

Police are working to identify both of the suspects and the vehicle they fled inside.

The victim, who remains unidentified, declined medical treatment and was not transported to the hospital. She reportedly was not seriously injured.
