Constellation Brands Beer Division has announced a voluntary recall of select packages of Corona Extra because some bottles may contain bits of glass.
According to the company, the recall covers “covers 12-ounce clear glass bottles in select six-pack, 12-pack and 18-pack packages” sold in the United States with a number of production codes.
“A production error occurred at one of the four plants run by third party manufacturers that supply us with bottles,” the company said in a release Wednesday.
Those with the affected bottles are urged to throw them away and not drink them.
A full list of the production codes is available on Corona’s website by clicking here.
If you currently have Corona Extra cans, Corona Extra 24-pack loose bottles, Corona Extra 24 oz. bottle, Corona Extra draft beer, Corona Light bottles, Corona Light cans, Corona Light draft beer, Corona Familiar, or Coronitas, the company said that those brands are not impacted by this recall.
Customers wanting reimbursement for their product can call Corona’s consumer call center at 1866-204-9407.
