(AP) – Former Saturday Night Live star Tracy Morgan is continuing his recovery but it continues to be a struggle for the popular comedian after his June 2014 accident on the New Jersey Turnpike.
That information came from Morgan’s attorney Benedict Morelli Monday morning who said that Morgan continues to fight after suffering a broken leg and ribs after the limousine van he was in was struck from behind by a Wal-Mart truck.
That crash, which closed the roadway for several hours during the overnight hours of June 7, took the life of 62-year-old comedian James McNair and injured two others.
Since the accident, Morgan’s lawyer has filed a suit against Wal-Mart, claiming the retailer should have been aware that the driver of the tractor-trailer had driven over 700 miles from his home in Georgia to work in Delaware.
That driver has plead not guilty to death by auto and assault by auto charges.
