A Midlothian man has been named a “person of interest” in the disappearance of a Lancaster mother who has been missing since the middle of last month.
Investigators declined to go into further detail, only confirming that 53-year-old James T. “Todd” Kessler is now listed as a person of interest in the disappearance of Claudine J. Gifford of Burgess.
Gifford was last seen in during the early evening hours of Sunday, July 6 at Windmill Point leaving the Tiki Bar Restaurant with a man. She was wearing a multi-colored tank top, blue jeans, and sandals.
Officials did say that it was information from Kessler that led to the July 15 interest in speaking with four white males who were reported to have assisted Gifford into a silver Nissan SUV on July 7.
Kessler was arrested by law enforcement on July 19 on an unrelated charge of aggravated malicious wounding.
Anyone with information about Gifford’s whereabouts is asked to call Lancaster County Crime Solvers at 804-46-CRIME (804-462-7463).
