Certiport announces winners at U.S. National Championship from over 300,000 competitors in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. Kyle Forst of Bridging Communities Regional Career and Technical Center in New Kent, Virginia was selected as one of the top six finalists at the 2014 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) U.S. National Championships in Atlanta, GA. Kyle has a great back story. He aims to be the first of his family in two generations to graduate from high school.
Kyle won a Microsoft SurfaceTM Tablet, a trophy, and an all-expense-paid trip to attend the MOS World Championship with a chaperone in Anaheim, California. “By earning MOS certification, Kyle already has an accomplishment that prepares him for college and career,” said Bob Whelan, president and chief executive officer for Pearson VUE.
“He has proven his superior knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, the most popular productivity tools in the world, and we wish him the best as he competes at the World Championship.” From August 2013 to May 2014, more than 300,000 students in the United States entered the competition to demonstrate their level of proficiency in utilizing the world’s foremost desktop computing applications. At the MOS U.S. National Championship, finalists participated in timed exams and interviews to demonstrate their expertise in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs.
We here at TV8 want to congratulate Kyle on his award.
