RICHMOND POLICE PRESS RELEASE:
Richmond Police detectives are now investigating the shooting of two men today as a death investigation after one of the victims succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
At approximately 2:42 p.m. today, officers were called to the 5700 block of Hull Street for a report of a person shot. They arrived on scene within minutes and found two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men were taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment. One victim died of his injuries around 8 p.m. while the second victim’s injuries are not life threatening.
Because the investigation is still on going and detectives are working to notify the victim’s next of kin, they are not yet identifying him or releasing any further details about the incident.
