The ABC 8News StormTracker team is tracking a weather system that will drench Central Virginia early Friday, before giving way to a pleasant weekend.
Steady rain continues to fall Friday morning across most of central Virginia, but it is slowly working its way to the east. Between noon and 2 p.m., most of the rain will be moving off the east coast and the clouds will begin to break apart.
By the late afternoon and evening hours, skies will become partly sunny and it will be pleasant. High temperatures will climb into the lower and middle 70s. Friday night will have partly cloudy skies tonight with lows in the lower 50s.
Saturday will be a gorgeous day with partly sunny skies and highs in the lower to middle 70s. Sunday will be just about a carbon copy of Saturday with highs from 70 to 75 under partly sunny skies.
Monday and Tuesday will feature mostly sunny skies with a little warm up in our temperatures, as we climb from the middle 70s to near 80. We could be climbing into the middle 80s by the end of next week with partly to mostly sunny skies.
