Student Suspects Identified in Wyatt Middle Bomb Threats

Greensville County Schools has identified several students involved in a series of school bomb threats that forced multiple school lock downs at E.W. Wyatt Middle School.

Greensville County Schools superintendent Phil Worrell says the school board would hold separate hearings to decide if the students would be expelled. He could not say whether the students would face criminal charges.

Thursday was the fourth bomb threat in five days at Wyatt Middle School. Written notes with threats were found within the school according to Worrell. Concerned parents said they kept their children home from school due to the on-going threats.

“We are also informing the students today that future bomb threats may lead to makeup time for middle school students on Saturdays,” Worrell says. “We did inform the students that anyone caught making a bomb threat will be charged with a crime.  I will also send out a School Messenger alert [Thursday] evening informing parents of this and ask that they talk with their children.”
