Store Clerk Seriously Injured In Robbery, Shooting

UPDATE: New, enhanced photos have been released that more clearly show the face and features of the suspect in the incident.  The reward for information leading to an arrest of the suspect has now grown to $10,000. 

The suspect is described as a white, male, approximately 5’6” to 5’10”, with a reddish brown beard or goatee.  The beard also had white or gray highlights.  The beard hangs down approximately two inches below the chin.  He was wearing a black sweat shirt with Khaki style pants.  The suspect was also wearing black gloves.  The suspect asked the victim for a tin of a smokeless tobacco, brand named Grizzly. 

The suspect also made off with a countertop display, containing ephedrine base products.

SPOTSYLVANIA (WRIC) – A Spotsylvania store clerk is fighting for her life after being shot during a robbery early Saturday morning.

According to Spotsylvania County sheriff’s officials, the suspect entered the Fas Mart store in the 11600 block of Brock Road and pretended to purchase an item. The suspect then shot the clerk twice in the head after she turned away from him.

The suspect fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.

The victim, whose name has not been released, is listed in “very serious” condition.

The suspect is described as a white male between 25 and 35, standing between 5 foot 4 and 5 foot 7, weighing 160 or 170 pounds. He had a black goatee, and wore a dark hooded sweatshirt.
