HENRICO (WRIC) – Henrico Police are working with the Powhatan Sheriff's Office on a missing person investigation.
Jaime Cruz-Avila has not been seen since the evening hours of Wednesday, February 5. Officers found evidence at the 2500 block of Dickens Glen Court indicating the male may be in danger.
On Thursday, February 6, a burned vehicle, owned by Cruz-Avila, was located in Powhatan at Watkins Landing boat ramp at Route 711 west of Route 288.
Cruz-Avila's mother, who didn't
want to go on camera, says she's worried for her son and wants him home.
“We want to try to find out
whether he was by himself or whether he was with other people,” says Lt. Linda
Toney of Henrico Police.
Cruz-Avila is described as a 24-year-old Hispanic male, 5'6″, 178 pounds, last seen wearing a black hooded jacket or sweater with a white graphic design on the front
