Man Charged in Connection with Gun Incident at Wilder Middle

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)—A Richmond
man has been charged in connection with a
gun found at L. Douglas Wilder Middle School earlier this month
.

The school was placed on lockdown on
Jan. 13, when an eighth grader was found carrying a loaded magazine in the
cafeteria. An unloaded handgun was found inside his backpack. No one was
injured during the incident.

Jimmy Cunningham II, 26, of the 1700
block of Lyndover Road, has been charged with reckless handling of a firearm, a
class 3 misdemeanor. Cunningham is an acquaintance of the 13-year-old male
juvenile who was previously charged.
