Man in Husband-Wife Bank Robber Team Charged Again

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)—A Prince George County man who robbed a Colonial Heights bank with his wife on Christmas Eve has been charged in connection to two other bank robberies in Chesterfield County.

Both robberies occurred on West Hundred Road in December 2013. On Wednesday, Dec. 4, a man demanded money from the teller at the Virginia Commonwealth Bank at 4600 W. Hundred Road and fled with cash.

On Saturday, Dec. 14, a man robbed the Bank of Virginia at 4023 W. Hundred Road in the same fashion.

Chesterfield County Police obtained warrants for Eric J. Shelton, 40, of the 6800 block of Morning Dove Lane in Disputanta, for robbery and wearing a mask in a public place in relation to both crimes.

Shelton and his wife, Angela, are both being held at Riverside Regional Jail with no bond for their involvement in robbing the EVB Bank at 3012 Boulevard in Colonial Heights on Christmas Eve.
