Two injured in Flash Fire in Henrico

HENRICO (WRIC) – Two people are in the hospital after a flash fire at a Henrico warehouse.

According to Henrico Police, the fire occurred in the 7400 block of Ranco Road, near the Staples Mill Amtrak station.

Both workers were working for a construction company hired to salvage materials from the building.  At the time of the fire the workers were on at lift removing pipes and ventilation ducting.  While doing this work a fire occurred.

Both workers were able to make it off of the lift and out of the building on their own.

Two male patients, one in his late 30's and one in his 20's were transported to MCV with life threatening burns.  The male in his late 30's had burns to the majority of his body.  Both are in critical condition.
